Wireshark: Viewing Captured Files and Images


Every network developer, soon or later will know about the existence of a tool called Wireshark, that can capture all the traffic data from a network interface, allowing us to analyze this data, including files, like images. But how can we see the image files? Look here!

Wireshark haven't a built-in image file viewer, but it allows export these objects in a folder and then we can see them like any normal file. The video below show the process, first refresh the current page to force the interface get all the objects from the server, including javascript and image files, then they are exported by Wireshark in a folder, where is possible to see the images captured:
